Our Judge Felicity Snook writes:
Thank-you for inviting me to judge at the Irish Terrier Breed Match.
It was good to talk to some of the exhibitors following the judging who were interested to learn more about their dogs and were keen to get some tips on how best to show the dogs.
There was a lovely atmosphere at the venue with everyone doing their various jobs.
The club is lucky to have Lucy Jackson as an ambassador for the breed, a most charming lady and so good at the entertainment side. Lucy most generously gave me her book ‘Walking in the Water’ which I shall treasure. I thought the Best in Match puppy was most promising, with the younger Minor Puppy also showing promise but obviously needing to settle and mature.
A most successful Breed Match took place on the morning of the A.G.M. at Shottery Memorial Hall.
We were pleased to welcome Sarah Brocklebank as our Judge; Sarah has been actively involved in Irish Terriers for a number of years. In 2014 Sarah attended the Breed Specific Seminar held at Roade, achieving a Pass Certificate.
In charge of the competition were Ashley and James, who kept the proceedings flowing.
